Objectives
SOFON (The Society Of Friends Of Nepal) is a non-profit initiative dedicated to fostering education, skills development, and community empowerment. Its objectives are
- To promote education and work towards alleviating poverty of underprivileged communities through training and financial assistance like bursaries and scholarships.
- To increase awareness of underprivileged community problems, especially in the third world within SOFON’s constituency, via educational programs (seminars, audiovisuals, exhibitions, social gatherings).
- To administer and operate overseas development programs for craft skill development within the underprivileged women’s community of Nepal.
- To generate necessary funds to support the society’s development projects.
- To identify and organize suitable volunteers for participation in various fields of the society’s development projects.
- To arrange technical training in Canada for individuals from host countries for the pursuit of the Society’s development projects as and when required.
